Find Books

book To find Books.  Use HamCAT (search box above), the catalog of the Hamline University library

How do I get books located at other MnPALS partner libraries? To get books from other MnPALS schools, you can request the item within HamCAT. Request link is located within the item record. Make sure you are signed into HamCAT using your Hamline user account information.

If you need a book that is not in the HamCAT, we suggest you use the book request form on top of HamCAT (Interlibrary Loan service)

Can I view books online? Bush Library has access to thousands of electronic book titles. These titles will be listed in HamCAT.

If I am a distance student, how do do I obtain books? Bush Library DOES NOT mail books to students. It is always suggested that if you can, try and come to campus to use and/or checkout materials. If this is not a possibility, we suggest that you either use a public library close to you, or if affiliated with one, an academic library. In searching for materials, you can still use HamCAT to look for materials, but we also suggest trying to use Worldcat, which allows you to see which libraries close to you might have a book you need.
