Anthropology: Home

Welcome!

Welcome to Bush Library's research guide on Anthropology!

This guide highlights the library resources and freely available research materials available on the web for researchers in the four focus areas in Hamline's curriculum:

Sociological (or Cultural) Anthropology
Archaeology
Biological Anthropology
Linguistic Anthropology

If you need research assistance you have many options:

  •
  • phone the Central Service Desk to be directed to a librarian on duty at 651-523-2373
  • reach out directly to the Anthropology librarian
  • make an appointment to meet in person at Bush Library, or online via Google Meet
  • Email the Bush Library Research Service

Citation Style

Beginning in 2015, the American Anthropological Association switched to using the Chicago Manual of Style citation format instead of the AAA citation format.

Use RefWorks to import, store and manage your citations from books and online databases, insert them into the body of a research paper in the format you need (Chicago), and generate bibliographies and reference lists.  You will need to create an account the first time to use RefWorks.
