A good place to identify the most important issues of the day. There are three places to do that on the first screen: Browse Topics (upper left), Browse Reports, and Hot Topics (right hand side). Once you've identified a topic, view the report to learn more about the topic and view recommended research sources to start your research.

Remember, each discipline determines the definitions of scholarly, popular and trade press. What is accepted in one discipline, may be classified differently in another.

Search for Information on Current Issues

Introduction to and in-depth coverage of the most important issues of the day. Full-text articles include an overview, historical background, chronology, and a PRO/CON feature, plus resources for additional research. Graphics, photos and a short "sidebar" round out the reports. Shorter "Hot Topics" articles provide a solid introduction to subjects most in demand by students.

Most significant journals in nearly every subject, from anthropology to women’s studies, the majority available full text.
