Most database interfaces include:
- The ability to create a list.
- The ability to e-mail either a single citation or a list to yourself.
- If the database includes full text, you may also be able to e-mail either the entire article or the url of the full text of the article to yourself.
- An alert service which will permit you to automatically be notified whenever the most recent issue of a journal is loaded into the database (it may be full text, or it may just be the table of contents/citations).
- An alert service with permits you to save a search and be notified whenever any new citations meeting your search criteria are downloaded into the database.
- The ability to export it to RefWorks.
Use Interlibrary Loan to request:
Bush Library uses ILLiad interlibrary loan software to facilitate and enhance your ILL service. ILLiad allows you to track your ILL requests while they are in progress and to view your ILL history for up to four years.
What is RefWorks? It's your new best friend. Use RefWorks to import, store and manage your citations from books and online databases, insert them into the body of a research paper in the format you need (MLA, APA, etc.), and generate bibliographies and reference lists.
There are tutorials available from the RefWorks login screen and anytime you see a Help link.
You can also export citations from many of our databases directly into RefWorks.
