CAS SciFinder-n is a research discovery tool that allows you to explore the Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) databases containing literature from many scientific disciplines including biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, agricultural science, and more.
You must create an account to access SciFinder-n by following the on-screen steps.
Note that you will need to use your @hamline.edu email to set up your SciFinder-n account. You need to do this either on-campus or by following our special link:
Create your CAS SciFinder-n account
After you have a SciFinder-n account:
If you do not use your SciFinder-n account regularly, ACS will "archive" your account after a long period of inactivity. Access will be curtailed and attempts to reset your SciFinder-n password will not work until a librarian contacts ACS on your behalf. Contact a librarian if you think your account has been inadvertently archived.
Tip: login to your CAS SciFinder-n account at least yearly to maintain your active account.
