CLICsearch Help

A short guide to using CLICsearch to discover library materials and to manage your library account.

Interpreting Your Results

The detailed view of a physical item shows you the following commonly-used pieces of information:

  • Basic and detailed item information (title, author, availability, etc.)

  • How to cite, email, or link to a record of the item

  • Location information and how to request

The Physical Copies section shows you the availability and call number. If you Sign In, you’ll see requesting information.

Just as in CLICnet, you have the ability to place a hold on the copy at Hamline, or request from a CLIC Library if the item is unavailable at Hamline.

  • Basic and detailed item information (title, author, availability, etc.)

  • How to cite, email, or link to a record of the item

  • Links to the electronic content from one of our providers or Interlibrary Loan requesting information

The Online Access portion of the record will have the links to the full text on the provider’s website. If you’re off campus, you must Sign In to see these links.
