Association of Minnesota Counties
a voluntary statewide organization that assists the state’s 87 counties in providing effective county governance to the people of Minnesota. It is the mission of the Association to assist in the provision of effective county governance for the people of Minnesota.
The Citizens League builds civic imagination and capacity in Minnesota by:
•Identifying, framing and proposing solutions to public policy problems;
•Developing civic leaders in all generations who can govern for the common good; and
•Organizing the individual and institutional relationships necessary to achieve these goals.
League of Minnesota Cities
a membership organization dedicated to promoting excellence in local government. The League serves its more than 800 member cities through advocacy, education and training, policy development, risk management, and other services.

Minnesota State Legislature
The official page of the Legislature. In addition to full text documents, this site also inludes live and archive coverage of Senate floor sessions, committee hearings, press conferences and special events.
Office of the State Auditor
A professional, nonpartisan audit and evaluation office within the legislative branch of Minnesota state government. The office's principal goal is to provide the Legislature, agencies, and the public with audit and evaluation reports that are accurate, objective, timely, and useful. Through its reports, the office seeks to strengthen accountability and promote good management in government.

Analyzes and distributes data from state, U.S. Census Bureau and other sources.
Council of State Governments
a strictly nonpartisan organization that brings state leaders together to share capitol ideas, providing them the chance to learn valuable lessons from each other. We also foster innovation in state government and shine a spotlight on examples of how ingenuity and leadership are transforming the way state government serves residents of the states and territories.
National Conference of State Legislators
Bipartisan organization that serves the legislators and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. NCSL provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues.
Nonprofit, nonpartisan online news site that practices journalism in the public interest by reporting on emerging trends and issues in state policy and politics. A project of the Pew Charitable Trust.
National Association of Counties
The only national organization that represents county governments in the United States.
NACo advances issues with a unified voice before the federal government, improves the public's understanding of county government, assists counties in finding and sharing innovative solutions through education and research, and provides value-added services to save counties and taxpayers money.

National League of Cities
The oldest and largest national organization representing municipal governments throughout the United States. Its mission is to strengthen and promote cities as centers of opportunity, leadership, and governance.
US Conference of Mayors
The official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There are 1,201 such cities in the country today. Each city is represented in the Conference by its chief elected official, the mayor.
American Society for Public Administration
The American Society for Public Administration is the largest and most prominent professional association for public administration. It is dedicated to advancing the art, science, teaching and practice of public and non-profit administration
International City/County Management Association
ICMA advances professional local government through leadership, management, innovation, and ethics.
Minnesota City/County Management Association
The Minnesota City/County Management Association (MCMA) is the professional and educational organization for appointed management executives and assistants serving cities, counties and other local governments in Minnesota. MCMA is a state association affiliate of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), headquartered in Washington, D.C.
National Academy of Public Administration
The Academy is an independent, non-profit, and non-partisan organization established to assist government leaders in building more effective, efficient, accountable, and transparent organizations.
Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration
Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration or NASPAA is the global standard in public service education. It is the membership organization of graduate education programs in public policy, public affairs, public administration, and public & nonprofit management.
