Use this research guide to assist you in conducting market and company research. Library database resources such as Business Source Premier, Nexis Uni, and Data-Planet Statistical Datasets are featured.

Business Source Premier

Searching for industry information:

  • Look for trade and professional organizations websites for industry information
  • Use Business Source Premier to find trade publication articles about a product or industry.
    • Use NAICS codes to narrow your industry search

Search using NAICS code:

  • Find the appropriate NAICS code using the link to the left
  • Enter broad search terms in the top search fields
  • Under Search Options enter the 6 digit NAICS code

Access industry surveys in CFRA MarketScope Advantage: 

  • Click "Industry Surveys" from the menu on the left-hand side of the page
  • Click on the appropriate industry
  • Select the PDF icon next to the version of the industry report you want. The most recent and up-to-date version of the report will be at the top, with older versions underneath
